In this first tutorial, we will perform the basic signal-processing steps required to obtain an average ERP waveform. This includes (1) importing the dataset into letswave, (2) applying a band-pass frequency filter, (3) segment the continuous EEG recording into epochs aligned to stimulus onset, (4) apply a baseline correction, (5) reject epochs contaminated by artefacts, (6) computing an average waveform and (7) characterzing the latency, amplitude and scalp topography of the obtained ERPs.
